May 17, 2014 . Big Game Club, Bimini, Bahamas . Theme: Organic Island Inspiration The Wedding Day I'm a bit speechless on this one. Looking back on everything, all of our conversations and ideas, all of our research and planning, all of the time spent on organizing and crafting, this wedding was perfection. Ryan & Erica are Key Largo natives, and wanted to honor their heritage on their wedding day. The bride has a great history between the Bahamas and Florida Keys, so we set sail to Bimini and found the venue of their dreams, Bimini Big Game Club. With a scalloped wedding dress to die for, ocean blue hues, intimate guest list, and conch-tribute menu - this day was everything they could have hoped for. Even the sun put on a show to honor their marriage! I could go on and on .. but I'll let the beautiful photographs by Margeaux Boles share their story. (click on the photo for full size!) From the Bride: "There is no way our wedding day would have gone smoothly without Carin as our wedding planner. She was with us throughout the entire wedding planning process. My husband and I are not exactly the best with planning, she made sure to keep us on track. Our wedding took place on Bimini in the Bahamas and Carin did an amazing job coordinating every detail with the venue. Even though we live in the Keys and are pretty relaxed people, the Bahamas have an even more laid back culture and Carin made sure to keep everyone from the chef to the florist on schedule. She planned out our rehearsal lunch and helped my father plan a celebration the night before the wedding. She helped find the beach our ceremony took place on, which was a beautiful white sand beach with an amazing view of the sunset. She was everywhere on the day of, she did everything from helping set up the reception site, keeping me calm, keeping the boys on schedule, keeping any hiccups in the day away from me and probably more I never even knew about. Our wedding could not have been more beautiful and the day was a stress free as any wedding day could be thanks to her! On top of the actual wedding day, every event leading up to our wedding Carin planned. She found an amazing canal front home for our engagement party and made every detail of the night perfect from the bar set up, to an amazing paella dinner, and an amazing coconut cake. She planned out every detail of my bridal shower over looking a beautiful bay in Key Largo with a perfect buffet lunch and bridal shower games. She was even there helping with the bachelorette party and found us an amazing place to stay in Key West. I cannot say enough about Carin! If you want to plan a destination wedding in the Florida Keys or the Bahamas, this is the woman you want as your planner!!" Thank you to all the vendors and their creative efforts on this beautiful wedding! They started off the weekend with a Sunset Birthday Celebration in their LBDs, followed by dinner at the restaurant where the bride got engaged, A little crawling down Duval Street to get home never hurt anybody... On Saturday: a white boa, a scavenger hunt, naughty charades and some great wine to kick off the party! The night held many fun memories, but we will leave the dirty details in Key West. Let's just say - the girl's had fun! On Sunday they enjoyed brunch at Blue Heaven restaurant - the bride's favorite breakfast spot! And one last strut down Duval street before saying good bye. Next stop - BIMINI! The "Something Blue" Bridal Shower The more I plan and learn with Erica, the more I've come to see the "blue" theme. So of coures for her shower we made sure she had her something blue! Very intimate setting at the Hilton Key Largo Resort was a wonderful way to have the ladies in Erica's life get to know each other. A family-style lunch really got everyone chatting - a great way to break the ice! A few shower games, a stroll on the beach, and a champagne sunset cruise to end the night. It seemed everyone enjoyed the event, even more excited for the big day! The Engagement Party A bride with a Bahamian rum-runner background, and groom with island boy charm, planning this engagement party was a blast! Including all of their friends and immediate family, Erica & Ryan enjoyed the night with yard games, a s'mores bar, and a paella dinner cooked over the fire. The setting was in a friends back yard on a canal in their local town. With signature drinks and beers on ice, everyone had a great time!
