The Wedding

I met the groom, Mike, through a mutual friend on a family lobstering trip in Key Largo. Little did I know that I would become close friends with his now wifey and have the honor to be their wedding planner! Their wedding still takes my breath away and I hope you enjoy these photos as much as I enjoyed their big day :)

The wedding weekend began with a rehearsal dinner and a fantastic view at the Marquesa Ballroom, Hyatt Key West. Photos by yours truly!

The Wedding Day!

From the start Mike and Jessica were over the moon excited to be married on the shores of Key West. They chose Casa Marina, a resort known as the most elegant venue on the island -perfect for their black tie island elegance wedding. Jessica knew she wanted to reflect their classy taste with accents from the sea. Her colors of peacock blue and sunset coral complimented the sophisticated style with a beachy twist.

From the Bride: "My husband and I were so thankful to have found Key Destination Wedding and Events. We both were so excited to get married in Key West, but living in Tampa made me nervous about the details. Carin quickly put my mind at ease by taking the time to listen to what our vision for our wedding day was. She was very organized and methodical without lacking in lots of creativity. She knew we wanted the fun elements of a Key West and beach wedding with the sophisticated atmosphere of a black tie event. We were able to share thoughts via telephone, text, email and Pinterest and she always made sure to involve my groom. When we couldn't be in Key West meeting with vendors, Carin was there. I had no worries about the event in the planning stages at all. The weekend of the wedding Carin was behind the scenes making sure rehearsal was set up (she decorated our room for us) and that all parties were where they needed to be doing what they needed to. She even helped manage a sensitive family issue that had been giving me anxiety. Our wedding was definitely made up of all the things I had been dreaming of since I was a little girl and Carin played a huge role in that. The perfect wedding planner for the perfect day. My husband and I would highly recommend her for any event."
