Grand Opening!

In 2010, our founder Carin Hunt was attending her last year of college for Event Management. One of her class assignments required her, along with classmates, to create a faux company and detail a faux event. The project name Carin created was 'Key Destination Events'. Five years later with her event degree and wedding experience she took off with her idea and started Key Destination Weddings & Events in Key Largo, Florida.

To think that our company started as just a name to a college project and brought us to this moment is unfathomable. We are overwhelmed and amazing by the amount of support from our community, industry, friends and family and continue to pinch ourselves in this real-life dream!

Our Grand Opening was more than we could've hoped for! Big thank you to everyone who attended, and special thanks to Designs by Darenda for the floral arrangement, Chef Drew's Island Catering for the appetizer platters, Maggie's Bakery for the sweets, Corks & Curds for the bubbles, Islamorada Chamber of Commerce for our ribbon cutting, and TRMV Photo for capturing all the details!
